Mitchell Ford, originally from Prince Edward Island, has called Toronto home now for the past 6 years.
Having been brought up in such a small, community minded area, the thought of the big city was new and exciting, and having progressed as much on PEI as he could, the opportunities Toronto could offer were too tempting.
A few months later, having applied and been accepted to the Fashion Management program at George Brown College, he moved to the city in September of 2011, and got his first apartment in Parkdale. The adjustment from life on PEI to life in Toronto was staggering, and this experience, more than any other, helped him learn and grown and see first-hand just how many people in the city suffered from mental illness.
A few years later his sister, and one of the founders of Full Circle, Lacey, also moved into the city. Now thanks to her efforts, along with Pearl, Nga and everyone else whose hard work and dedication has helped the Foundation grow, Mitchell is now getting a chance to help by raising funds and awareness for those who need it the most.
